It’s a busy month for grant opportunities! Inside The Grant Circle, I’ve rounded up over 30 grant deadlines coming up in August 2025 for Canadian charities of all sizes and sectors, including youth programs, Indigenous-led initiatives, environmental work, mental health supports, and more.
Here’s a sample of what’s included in this month’s full list:
Deadline: August 7, 2025
Description: Supports Indigenous youth-led (ages 15–29, min 3 youth) grassroots or small nonprofit projects across Canada.
Location: Canada-wide
Amount: $15,000 per project
Deadline: August 5, 2025
Description: Backs grassroots, community-based programs in health or education for youth (up to age 29) in Canada, especially initiatives that leverage technology.
Location: Specific regions across Canada.
Amount: Grants up to CA $20,000
Deadline: August 15
Description: Supports local heritage projects in BC across four areas: conservation, awareness, planning, and Indigenous partnerships.
Location: British Columbia
Amount: up to CA $50,000
Deadline: August 20
Description: Helps Ontario nonprofits, First Nations, municipalities, and collaboratives build capacity through strategic planning, piloting new programs and organizational strengthening to better deliver community services.
Location: Ontario
Amount: Funding ranges from CA $10,000 to $100,000 per year
