Looking for summer grant opportunities? Here’s a glimpse at some of the deadlines coming up this July for Canadian nonprofits.
From youth programs to community events, environmental initiatives to Indigenous-led projects, there’s something here for a wide range of organizations.

Now here's the good stuff:
Deadline: July 4, 2025 at 11:59 PM EST
Description: Supports community events (workshops, conferences, festivals, exhibits) and youth‑led initiatives (< 30 years) that combat racism and promote intercultural dialogue across Canada under the National Anti‑Racism Fund (NARF).
Location: Canada-wide – open to registered charities, non-profits, First Nations, Inuit, Métis organizations, public institutions, and grassroots youth groups.
Amount: Up to $10,000 per project, with a limit of two applications per applicant.
Deadline: August 5, 2025 (applications open July 7 – close August 5)
Description: Grants support local, grassroots health and education programs for youth (≤ 29) facing barriers. Preference is given to initiatives that leverage technology to increase impact, like online learning or digital engagement, though software and devices are not eligible.
Location/Amount: Projects must take place within the eligible regions: Barrie & Central Ontario (up to CAD 10,000) Greater Toronto & Hamilton Area, Montreal, Vancouver & Coastal (up to CAD 20,000)
Deadline: Open July 1 – August 7, 2025
Description: Provides up to $15,000 for impactful community projects led by 2–3+ Indigenous youth (ages 15–29). Projects should build youth wellness, resilience, engagement, capacity, and cultural connection—covering areas like arts, intergenerational relationships, feasibility studies, organizational development, and wellness initiatives.
Location: Projects must take place within Canada; eligible applicants include Indigenous grassroots groups, small Indigenous-led nonprofits, and youth councils.
Amount: Maximum $15,000 per project; funding is intended to scale or pilot meaningful youth-led initiatives.
Deadline: 11:59 p.m. PST, Friday, July 18, 2025.
Description: The Vancouver Fraser Port Authority offers up to 15 grants of $25,000 in key areas: food security, employment and workforce development, arts & culture, community resilience, and related initiatives.
Location: Eligible for community organizations based in Greater Vancouver and the Fraser Valley region under the Port Authority's jurisdiction.
Amount: A total pool of $375,000 for 2025, distributed as 15 individual $25,000 grants.
Deadline: July 15, 2025 (application window opens July 1 and closes July 15)
Description: TD FEF is a national grant program supporting grassroots environmental initiatives, particularly environmental education, green space creation, and citizen science. Eligible projects include community gardens, schoolyard greening, outdoor classrooms, native tree planting, park revitalization, and outdoor programming.
Location: Available to Canadian registered charities, educational institutions, municipalities, and Indigenous communities/groups.
Amount: While there is no set cap, the typical funding range is $2,000–$8,000 per project.
Deadline: June 25 – July 30, 2025
Description: Financial support for capital projects that benefit rural communities (pop. < 150,000). Eligible projects include greenhouses, food recovery initiatives, equipment upgrades, accessibility improvements, and energy-efficiency enhancements.
Location: Across rural Canada (communities under 150,000 residents)
Amount: Applicants can request between $10,000 and $25,000.
